Almost two years ago, I took this...on a blanket made by her great grandmother! It was a warm, humid, cloudy day and the diffused light at noon made this backyard forest feel magical.
In another lifetime, I was a florist ... and my enthusiasm for flora and fauna shows through my work. So it was a special morning for me taking pictures of plants grown from heirloom seeds, native wildflowers, fruit trees, and a shy barn cat or two. Versailles would be a little bit envious...
This was a short, simple and VERY chic wedding at a private residence in Fox Point. As the bride said, "I don't know why people spend 18 months planning a wedding - what a waste of 17 months!" She pulled this off without a hitch and it was sweet and fun and gorgeous.
Maple trees, a lush summer lawn and (mostly!) blue skies made a gorgeous backdrop for the pops of bright yellow in the details. Ashley looked chic in a white suit. Robyn was radiant in her dress. There was good beer (hello, Milwaukee), and dancing into the night...
